Welcome to Linner Life! Because our app is built specifically for students and teens (ages 13–18) in India, protecting your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India, and references guidelines from COPPA (for international best practices regarding minors).

To provide you with a personalized experience, gamified tracking, and AI coaching, we collect the following personal information when you create an account:

• Full Name: To personalize your dashboard and AI interactions.
• Email Address: Used for account creation, secure login, and account recovery.
• Phone Number: Specifically required for enabling Spark AI WhatsApp reminders and alerts.

The data we collect is strictly used to operate and improve Linner Life. We use it to:

• Power the core features like Streak tracking and the Neural XP Leaderboard.
• Analyze your task completion to provide personalized study tips via our AI companion, Spark.
• Maintain security and prevent fraudulent point accumulation on the leaderboards.

Linner Life features Spark AI, an intelligent study companion that sends motivational nudges and task reminders via WhatsApp.

By providing your phone number, you opt-in to receive these messages. Your phone number is shared with our WhatsApp API provider solely for message delivery. Chat transcripts with Spark AI are processed by our AI providers (like Google Gemini) to generate intelligent responses. We do not sell your chat data to advertisers.

Linner Life is tailored for teens aged 13 to 18. In compliance with the India DPDP Act 2023, if you are under the age of 18, we require that you obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before creating an account or providing any personal data (such as your phone number for WhatsApp). If we learn that we have collected personal data from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Linner Life services. We use industry-standard encryption and security protocols (powered by Vercel and our database providers) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access.

You have complete control over your data. You or your parent/guardian have the right to request access to, correction of, or permanent deletion of your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, simply send an email to our support team using the email address associated with your Linner Life account.
